Hi i need help

Ok I am new to track building and Ive nearly finished my first RPG map . I now need to use media tracker to make a sector more interesting.

As I said I am new and what i am after is the know how ,how to make a sector so the driver has got to pass between two CP's within 31 seconds of each other . I want it to fade to black or something if the second of the 2 CP is not reached by the allotted time of 31 seconds.

Is it possible and simple HELP

I was sure there's a lot of tutorials about this, but I've decide do get to the point you were asking and skiped the rest.
I've made a short tuto about the easiest way to get the effect you need ;)

so here it is.

Thank you DOSE , i will have a look at that when i get home from work .

One more thing if i may but this will probably be harder than my initial question . If i want for the same sector an on screen timer, (a countdown bar or a simple numbered counter ) is it possible or am asking the for the impossible.

Easy, when you count down from 30 to 0 you make a Text with '30' at 0-1s
'29' at 1-2s
'28' at 2-3s
etc.

yes its possible, many have did it , including myself :gamer: .

the way I did it is a superposition of pics going long to short lengh

example, if you want a "colored" bar ( like i did in Housekeeper's "FBI shutdown") , its very easy, you do like this :

Thank you for all the help.

Its all working out well so far and have created the sector with the time limit.

I'm going to use the bar idea rather than a numerical timer.

What folder however do i need to save say a red image file into so media tracker will load it and what extension is required.
