Pixelsport is down... All files are missing from the server.. anybody knows what happened?

i can not tell if it will be up again anytime soon..

Database backup 2 months old, but I hope the database is still intact (might not be, though).

all the other files I have on my computer, except that Minigod is the only guy who can configurate the config files to work on the pixelsport server.. I don't have mysql passwords etc etc..

and he is in the army.

Maybe we could take mine for some time... RPG PUB #2 (private home server for the community) and rename it... but it sure can't handle 50 persons at the same time... :/ Maybe 25-30 max or my pc will explode ^^

Hey Tec,
thats sad. We had a database crash at the beginning of this year also. That was hard. Since then we have learned and doing backups of server and database very often.

What I can offer You:
Upload the complete server-files, give me a download-link and I will set Pixelsport up on our Rootserver for the time minigod isn

When the last backup was more than 2 months ago... then i have now lower than 10 recs :cursing:

I am 80% confident that the database is ok.. just need to configure mysql and stuff.. so nothing is actually lost, I hope.

it is possible to reset the mysql password. what kind of server are you using? (apache, IIS, etc.) and why do you need to reconfigure mysql? what kind of error appears when you just start the server again?

the newly added maps could have been deleted except you autosave the matchsettings.

one of the few files that are still in the folder is the matchsettings file.

I don't have access to the server, that's the problem. I can only see the TM folder.. so if I upload my local copy, it will have the local mysql settings etc, and I don't know the passwords for the server.. that's what you get for getting free gigabit hosting.. this server was hosted on my own pc (the very one i gamed with) up until June 2009 I think! good times

but if you see the TM Folder, you can start the server because the EXE-File is in the TM Folder. Or so i understand something wrong?

No. How can I start a server (no, there is no .exe files left) without any files? There is only a matchsettings file and some cache stuff.

ok. I dunno the file structure. I had my own structure on my servers. just thought it might be possible.

News: the database is intact. Now it's just reuploading and reconfiguring files. Let's hope Minigod comes online again (he was on today, but I wasn't)
