WORKSHEET

Operating system:
No registration is required.
All the tracks chosen to be played will be put in a basic rotation system (time attack mod) during the 4 weeks of the cup. According to the number of tracks selected, there will be a time limit set to 4h30 per map. The order of the tracks in the list will remain the same until the end of the contest. The possibility to skip will be disabled. The possibility to put a track in the jukebox will be disabled too.
There will be two competitions in one. Some special events will occur from time to time, disturbing a little the system and the routine, but that will mainly be the way of operating. Read “competitions and points scoring system” for more details about the special events.

Competitions and points scoring system:
Players can participate in both competitions.

Competition 1 - General competition
This competition is very easy to understand. It will only depends on your local records. The points will be calculated according to the following table: the more points, the better!
Each player has two jokers for this competition, meaning their two worst local records (or two absences of local record) won’t count.
All the tracks will be played at least 9 times (= 9 x 4,5 => 40.5h minimum for each track!)

At the end of the competition:
Each local 1 = 20 points
Each local 2 = 18 points
Each local 3 = 16 points
Each local 4 = 15 points
Each local 5 = 14 points
Each local 6 = 13 points
Each local 7 = 12 points
Each local 8 = 10 points
Each local 9 = 9 points
Each local from 10 to 12 = 8 points
Each local from 13 to 15 = 6 points
Each local from 16 to 20 = 4 points

Competition 2 - Special events
This is a parallel competition: from time to time, there will be special events on the server. This competition only includes those special events with the following various points systems. Again, the aim is to win more points than anybody else!
Each player has two jokers for this competition, meaning their two worst points scoring (or their absence to two events) won’t be taken into consideration for the final calculation. Attention: each event counts as one, which means if an event has 3 sessions, it is the cumulated points of that event that are the final score for the special event.

1- Introduction of the pathfinding track (17 January, 14h until 22h)
A pathfinding track, where your only aim will be to finish before other players! You will have to drive on Phobos, a track made by TinTin.
1st finisher: 30 points
2nd finisher: 27 points
3rd finisher: 24 points
4th finisher: 20 points
5th finisher: 18 points
From 6th to 8th: 15 points
From 9th to 12th: 10 points
From 13th to 20th : 8 points
The pathfinding map will then remain on the server and will count for the final calculation of the points for the general competition.

2- Round sessions 1 - Mass start (23 January, 18h - 3 sessions)
Round sessions, on a track that is part of the rotation. The track chosen will be announced only 1 hour before the beginning of the first session. There will be a warm-up for 30 minutes, then 3 sessions (3 runs). The final score will be calculated that way:
Each run won: 11 points
Each second place: 10 points
Each third place: 9 points
Each fourth place: 8 points
Each fifth place: 7 points
From sixth to eighth: 6 points
Ninth and tenth: 5 points
Eleventh and Twelfth: 4 points

3- Relay race (24 January, 18h45)
The relay race will need previous registration. Please register before 16h on that day, by submitting your team to a contest manager in a private message. The teams will be revealed at 16h.
The relay race will be run by teams of 2. You will have to drive on Sanctified Tears, made by Loe. It is a track that is shorter than all the other maps. You will first have to go through a semi-final, and then through a final. It will consist in 6 laps each time, with players relaying each other at each lap. The final score will be calculated that way:
For each member of the first team: 30 points
For each member of the second team: 26 points
For each member of the third team: 24 points
For each member of the fourth team: 21 points
For each member of the fifth team: 18 points
For each member of the sixth team: 15 points
For each member of the seventh team: 12 points
For each member of the eighth team: 10 points

4- Individual event (from 29 January, 17h30 to 31 January, 22h)
Introduction of a new map: you will have to drive on achroma, a pathfinding track made by deus that is not part of the rotation. The track will be removed from the server after this special event and doesn't count for the general competition. At the end of the event, only your time will matter: first local will get the first place and so on.
Local 1: 33 points
Local 2: 30 points
Local 3: 28 points
Local 4: 26 points
Local 5: 24 points
Local 6: 22 points
Local 7: 20 points
Local 8: 18 points
Local 9: 15 points
Any other local: 12 points

5- Round sessions 2 - Pursuit (6 February, 21h - 3 sessions)
The pursuit will be played with three different tracks that will be announced 1 week before the beginning of this special event. A pursuit consists in two rows, played in rounds mod. The first row decides of the starting times for all the drivers that were able to finish in time. On the second row, only the winner of the previous run can drive. The other drivers can only start once they are told so, according to the time difference they had with the winner on the first run. Only the results of the second race count. Only 8 drivers will be kept after each first run. The final score will be calculated that way:
Each first place at the 2nd run: 12 points
Each second place at the 2nd run: 10 points
Each third place at the 2nd run: 9 points
Each fourth place at the 2nd run: 8 points
Each fifth place at the 2nd run: 7 points
Each sixth place at the 2nd run: 6 points
Each seventh place at the 2nd run: 5 points
Each eighth place at the 2nd run: 4 points

6- Round sessions 3 - Elimination system (7 February, 16h30)
This will be the last special event. There will be different rounds on the map that won the building competition (except if it is Phobos or achroma - see “maps”). The first run will consist in a mass start, where only the 16 first finishers will be allowed to take part in the second session. Then, at the end of each session, one or several players will be eliminated, until only one remains! The final score will be calculated that way:
Not eliminated (survived the last round): 40 points
Eliminated at the last round (2nd): 32 points
Eliminated at the 9th round (3rd): 30 points
Eliminated at the 8th round (4th): 28 points
Eliminated at the 7th round (5th): 25 points
Eliminated at the 6th round (6th): 21 points
Eliminated at the 5th round (7th and 8th): 18 points
Eliminated at the 4th round (9th and 10th): 15 points
Eliminated at the 3rd round (11th, 12th and 13th): 10 points
Eliminated at the 2nd round (14th, 15th and 16th): 7 points

The previous points system for both competition may change before the beginning of the parallel competition.

Winner:
At the end of the four weeks of competition, all the points will be calculated and the player(s) with most points for both competitions will be designated as the winner(s) of the cup!
An online document will keep the players informed all along the competition of the current standings.

Building competition:
The members of the jury will choose the tracks that are played during the contest according to our own rating system and preferences. Each track will have a rank that will count for the final result of the building competition.
The builders whose tracks will have the best ranks will win additional prizes.
All the results will only be revealed at the end of the competition and the marks of each member of the jury will be made public.
The jury is composed of :
 Eagles
 Lap
 Malun
 Nunni
 Rider
 Thom

The criteria include the atmosphere (/5), the scenary (/10), the tricks (/15) and the general impression (/10).

We wish for a competition where fair-play is the main word. Thus,
- We hope you will publish your replay on TMX if you have the world record. It is not an obligation but we think it will help having and keeping a good spirit in the competition.
- Please respect your opponents and remain polite.
- Please do not help anybody during the pathfinding session, in any possible way. You can of course help people on the same track once the special event is over.
- No secret cuts or altways are allowed during special events.
- Please listen to the admins, especially for the pursuit sessions and for the rounds with elimination. Please accept the rules of the game and don’t complain if you are eliminated or stuck on the starting line for a long time!
Bad behaviours may result in disqualifications or blacklists, especially for the three last points.

Thank you :D

The pulse winter contest is a competition organized by the pulse. team with the help of the members of the RPG section and Malun.
