i almost slit my wrists when my HDD died...
Well , not really , but it was kinda depressing, so much data lost.
Tho when my second HDD went to heaven , the HDD repair firm was able to restore it ,my second HDD had dead controller - the data was safe, but they said my first was trashed pretty badly - estimate data recovery is about 40% and price was a lot higher than for a second (they repaired second for about 300 bucks , tho i had to buy a new HDD and dump an image there. For first the price was named about 700 and going up + needed to buy new clone plates to transfer data to them)
If there was some valuable info on your HDD , Tec , maybe you should try to restore it too. (or at least get a free diagnostic)
