RPG - Streaming

Postby Geekthenet » 01.08.2013, 10:55

Hi all.

I'm asking myself a question. Would some people of the comunnity like to see some trackmania rpg streaming?
It would be some LIVE dedihunt and also streaming about the different RPG contests that are happening. I don't know if you guys think it's a good idea and if there are some of you that already tried it out or would be interested.

So i start this thread and i hope to see some of your ideas.

- Dedi-hunting on RPG
- RPG contest LIVE
- Mapping (maybe)
- RPG learning for newcomers
- ...

It's not a huge community, so i'm not sure streaming it is really neccessary, especially since you can watch the hunts/competitions yourself(which is always better) since it's a free game.
But if you decide to give it a try, make sure to find commentators who speak nice and fluent english, because there's nothing worse than having stuttering commentators on a stream. gl with that project,

That would be a nice idea, but you should speak english fluently and legibly to comment :) and i think you can record and post on youtube, if someone didn't see the stream. i don't know as for usual rpg-hunting, but streaming cups would be really cool

I'm sure Iggy did a live stream of him building some track or other, which was pretty neat, and had a good few viewers. That was a one off I think, but was interesting. Ask him how he did it.
I'd be up for a bit of live stuff. anything is better than the UK T.V. BS. :)

Thanks for the replies!

Of course it was supposed to be in English. My English was very good 3 years ago. I think i lost a lot of my talk skills ^^

The thread is still open if there are other opinions :)

indeed he was :-)

Shorty, i would love to see you team up with FrostBeule!

He mentioned in his streams that he does not know all the tricks/ techniques yet.

Not only did you produce some of the best, most comprehensive and complete RPG-driving-tutorials for driving on ledges, antiboost-driving and alike, if i am not totally mistaken you are a very good tech driver as well so you could meet up seeing eye-to-eye.

And there are still some techniques without tutorials i think. Like on realized2's very hard (not "Oachkatzlschwoafs-on-ICE-hard", but still^^) stadium-trial-track one had to perform a very controlled cork-screw jump (which is not that hard with a good teacher...r2 was so nice to tell me what to do...that helped a lot...i still suck at driving...but with r2 "at the helm" i sucked way less for a moment :- >. Techniques like that cork-srew are much easier with a bit of guidance.

I already saw FrostBeule turtling (he first thought it was not possible in TM
