Visualizing RPG tracks in your head

Postby HawkGer » 04.07.2012, 22:48

Hey, this topic is a bit strange. Also I'm drunk as hell. But I just had an epiphany about how my brain stores information. So I was just thinking about Sobekite and how strange it is that I can store all this information about the map even though I haven't played it in ages. I can start from the beginning and visualize all the 11min of racing in my head. I mean I can see all the obstacles and most of the blocks and what buttons I have to push to perform a certain type of action. Then I thought about other maps and found that I remembered most of those tracks too. Sometimes you have to concentrate really hard though to reconstruct the rooms and the order of movement. Then I tried this with some other things like my home town I grew up in and I found that I can remember most of the streets I went through and the buildings I have been in if you concentrate real hard. So I think this is really fun to think about and I thought you guys might want to try this too. See if you can reconstruct Sobekite in your head and tell me if it works. Maybe I just have a really strange brain, who knows?

I think most of us know this feeling. I can't visualize sobekite. But I can visualize Savana + the buttons I press.
So you're not the only one ;)

Some time ago, I got some kind of hatress against alcohol in general, but especially concerning my generation. I know what some kind of guys I knew well turned into... its not like they got in a rage mood and were agressive (which I hate just as well), but getting (even) more superficial, tortured by the need to get this kind of fun, which is probably the best feeling they could think of. It might be their kind of breaking out, Im a guy who often tries to break out, but this kind of breaking out seemed so uninspired and not imaginative at all. So its nice to see that some people actually get imaginative after drinking, writing posts like this :)
That was my first thought.
My second was: I didnt manage to recreate any full RPG-track besides my own. So you might be a little special at least^^ (You are anyway I think)

well if you drive tracks often and like them or hate some special parts, the will stuck in your head. I just can remember 2-3 tracks perfectly, but aswell I could tell you on more than 100+ tracks nearly the full path.

I know, haters gonna hate. :p

I think Is normal when you work too much in a subject, you are not alone, but is something that not so much people can do. Then, you are special. I'm worry about the lack of interest in Trackmania. Maybe we have to go back to our origins for a new impulse. It's only me or most of the servers are empty?
