Postby Guest » 11.03.2013, 10:21

I like RPGs but I find very sad they are almost always so hard to solve; meaning to found Check-points and I think if no boards give the way at least a story (some enigma, some indicators) should tell us where to go !! At least RPGs need a code that is possible to understand, at least there should be some classification in RPGs like (GPS - Enigma GPS - BOARDS GPS - no enigma/no Boards (NENB) or named FIND YOUR WAY ALONE (FYWA) etc WE NEED A CODE (:P) !!

That should be the very first rule of any RPG track !

So that newbies wont be lost with this help, and it will make RPG more accessible.

Pathfinding is one of the main things that makes RPGs great, so I disagree

There are tons of RPG tracks out there, and they are all differents. I mean different difficulty, different pathfinding. Some of them has story, some others don't. Some has signs or hint to find the way, some others don't.... and so on...

For beginners threre are many RPGs that are easy to find the way and even easy to do the tricks, so indeed you can make RPGs with hints or with very easy pathfinding, but

Pathfinding is one of the main things that makes RPGs great, so I disagree

I agree with Clith, I love tracks with pathfinding. It's one of the main features in RPG tracks.

every mapper got a different view on "how a rpg should look like" so every track is unique in it

there's such a wide variation in RPG tracks that i don't see any reason to have such rule. indeed. some tracks are easy regarding pathfinding, some are hard. i remember needing hours and hours to solve a certain track, and how it felt (amazing) when i finally managed to solve it. ;)

At least it should be impossible to miss CPs. You can make it hard to see where you have to go, but when you find it, it should be the only obvious way.

+ is there a classification in this site (for exemple i am looking for a RPG like mid speed/FS for beginner)
+ Nadeo should check bug disconnection for RPG and give us the possibility to restart from the last Check-point when a disconnection accure. Maybe we would need a petition ? Dont we ? No ? lol

User's Tracks - TMX

Would it kill you to do this for yourself, imo you're becoming somewhat annoying with all these questions and requests.

A story? no not always needed. You do seem to be trolling. BUT story tracks are fun. Pathfinding is needed for most if not all the RPG tracks.
