Wow awesome. I never expected to see this. Especially because I thought that TMNF was owned by FOCUS, not Ubisoft and thus couldn't be integrated into ManiaPlanet. Maybe they made a deal?
Definitely a very smart move. Might just be enough to revive the community.

yep, the gameplay is the same

The new Stadium keeps the same gameplay than TrackMania Nations Forever. All sensations are present: drifts, air control and co ... (landing bugs Image ?)

What is changing? At first, the game is very similar to TrackMania Nations Forever, but the most important is this integration in ManiaPlanet, so it has improved graphics engine from the other titles from ManiaPlanet and the power of the ManiaPlanet Tools.

eSports and Stadium is a great love story since 2006 with the first dedicated version for the ESWC. Since Stadium became essential in many LANs, it is the big events of eSports. Since some time, TrackMania in eSport is a breathless; the new stadium will give a big boost to the scene.

At first it seemed like a cheap trick to get more people into TM2, but it isn't easy importing the game into a new engine. Also this means we'll get some new building features, which is just great for RPG. Honestly I cannot see anything negative about this yet, but only time will tell.

I can't wait for further news about it though; will we have new blocks? Is the physics going to change(if ever so slightly)? Will this mean the end of TMUF?

Also the Valley might be an interesting environment as well, but I won't get my hopes to high after what happened with Canyon ^_^

Doesn't really matter if there will be standard new blocks because we will be able to create our own blocks and integrate them into our own title packs. That will be the best part of the new Stadium. We will finally be able to alter the game so that there is absolutely no recognition to the standard game

Valley looks really boring and way too similar to Canyon imo. I have no hopes for that

I don't believe we can import custom blocks until I see it with my owns eyes. NADEO said they'd do custom block import for Canyon too, didn't happen back then AFAIK :p

Although does anyone know which files we will be able to import? Probably .3ds-files but that didn't do well with Blender last time I checked(which is a while ago, so I might be wrong) so I hope things have improved.

Edit: I just hope nobody will write an import program for TMUF -> TM2 too soon, it will be boring with too many people importing tracks from TMUF :p

I had a conversation with two guys. They already played the stadium for tm2, and they said there would be no bugfixes so far :)

I cant beleve they finaly going to boost up nations, i was deeply convinced its not going to happend, and very disappointed.
I mean very best game of all titles, and they didnt even mention until now they are working on an update(wierd).
In Announcement Trailer it looks to me like exactly the same game with graphics updated a little, i hope there is more.

If they put block import, any old track will be overrun by new with custom blocks :).
