Gif to bik transparency problem

hey all

i got a question about the gif to bik conversion



well i'm trying to expriment a track where you can ride a boat
i got the boat, ... the water and everything good

but ... the boat doesnt leave any water trail :(
so i searched the web to try to find something that i can use
and i came up with this gif

but i dont know how to make it into bik without the black background :(

i hope you understand the problem
i'm bad explaning this things :$

and hope you can teach me how to convert transparent gifs into bik without that black background

Well explained ;), but you shud talk to hawkger or sol666, but the problem is that they are studying and they dont have time :(

ah ok, but why do you want to use bik then??? upload it on any page and then do it in your map with a locator :)

I have try too, but only came black background;(

im pretty shure there's a way do this transparent background, but more with the jpeg-frames from the gif, adding an aplha layer.
BUT, when i try to save, it's not adding the alpha channel.

will try too because i need it too , so if you find before me, PM me please ;)

I thought you want to make it in the mt. For that you must upload the image on a imagehoster page that saves it as jpg (p.e. tinypic). Then do it in your map and you will see it hasn

OK I'm a little late posting but what you needed to do is extract the frames and make each frame into a dds file with apha and then use each one in mediatracker running like frames, bik will always have black background as far as I know
