I take the idea of Anonymous doing a thread for Pixelsport RPG and do here same for Kacklappen RPG servers.

Why the name "Kacklappen" and what does it mean?
Kacklappen is German word for Toiletpaper ^^ , but that

/pmx didn't work very well on Pixelsport, sometimes it would break the admin functionality and give us red error messages, have you experienced this?

and imho, I think you should raise the time limit many maps take longer than 3 hours (or well, in the future they will)

No problems with "/pmx" so far.

We don't have a time limit.. We just vote

with some rules though:
No skipping when people are near finish (we want everybody to finish - "we waited for you, now you wait for us"
No skipping when a players is on a wr run (we want pixelsport to show up as the top server on all rpg tracks on tmx's dedi view ^^ (by wr run the player must have driven for some minutes and also be in front of the wr)
No skipping shortly after a map-change

Skipping is allowed if these rules don't apply, and also when:
The map has been deleted or there are more than 50 live finishers..

this is not optimal.. we have been working on a "time extension vote" plugin, but plugin makers have a hard time with this..

Yeah, we had similar rules when we started the server. But it is not close to be perfect.

Minigod did manage to make half the plugin.. The actualy votes were the problem...

we have 35 admins so it's not so much work per admin with blocking votes

Yeah we had many admins/operators also. But if there is every 2nd player admin, so many players ask to become admin also.
And admins also do mistakes, for example when they have game in windowed mode there is a bug: by activating the TM Window there can acidentially be pressed one of the admin buttons. Never had it myself, but we had cases that happened.

I tell all admins who use windowed mode or might use windowed mode once to to /admin panel off, then the bug disappears and you can use chat commands

and we have a rule against asking to be admin ^^

and the problem with votes is the noobs. this is why we have set karma voting to 1 finish. noobs always voted -- because they couldn't get to cp1, and the same thing will happen with your erase votes.. noobs will ruin it :\

What is CP live 2.05? 1.2 just with grey box?

Kacklappen RPG 2 now changed to Kacklappen RPG unlimited.

ign asked me to set up same as pixelsport, was not much to change:

• no timelimit anymore
• chatbased vote
• new databse (virgin local recs)
• igntul is masteradmin to add admins from pixel on kack unlimited
• some small features will follow

All Kacklappen servers were updated today to newest xaseco version 1.12

New features and other changes in the v1.12 release of XASECO:

new database and query optimizations:

• these database optimizations are automatically applied once the first time this release is run, but will take a while depending on the size of the database and the speed of your MySQL server, so be patient as they could easily take several minutes (especially the 'rs_times' changes)

Some thinkings about the changes Kacklappen RPG servers.

We had:
Kacklappen RPG 1-------------database a
Kacklappen RPG 2-------------database a
Kacklappen RPG XXL----------database a

Now we changed:
Kacklappen RPG 1-------------database a
[s]Kacklappen RPG 2-------------database a[/s]
Kacklappen RPG unlimited--database b (new database)
Kacklappen RPG XXL----------database a

Tabasco, Igntul and me talked about getting the Pixelsport regular players on Kacklappen unlimited and for that doing a new virgin database, for record and serverrank hunting.

But I think that idea was not good.
Many regular players of Kacklappen now miss the Kacklappen 2 server and the database, because they were able to play on Kack 1 or Kack 2 and had on both servers the same time. So they always had a choice of map.

I am thinking about changing to this:
Kacklappen RPG 1-------------database a
Kacklappen RPG 2-------------database a
[s]Kacklappen RPG XXL----------database a[/s]
Kacklappen RPG XT*----------database a or b - all maps running (even XXL), Pixeladmins getting admin via me or Igntul.

*XT=extreme/extended/extra...whatever

So the regual Kackplayers have their 2 servers with coice of map and the Pixelplayers are invited to find their new playground on K
